Hi. I'm Nicole!

Wife.  Mama to two busy toddler babes. Photographer.  Trying to seek Jesus each day, through each season.  So glad you're here!

Tips and Tricks

I don’t know about the rest of you, but some of us Southern ladies just about got blown away yesterday.  I just knew that Noah and his ark would float through campus to find me.  It never happened.  The weather has been a bit scary lately, but we have been so blessed to be free from damage.  I know some spots along this storms path got hit harder than we did and I am thinking about those sweet souls who are dealing with loss and destruction today!  When all hope seems to be lost, we can always find our true hope in our Lord.  He will never leave us nor forsake us!  Share that encouragement with someone today!

Okay, on to my little post for today.  I’ve got just a few blogging tips and tricks for you, lovelies!

1.  Go visit Miss Jenni’s blog for an awesome list of tips.  She’s got a page devoted to only blogging tips and I know that I am a better blogger because of her words of wisdom.  And if you’ve never been to Jenni’s little spot of blog world before, be ready to sit and stay for a while.  She’s a good one, that Jenni.

2.  This big, huge, MAJOR tip can also be found on Jenni’s page and it has changed my blogging life.  Download Windows Live Writer.  I know that many of you reading this will never actually check out this FREE download, but I promise you would love it if you tried it.  Blogger can sometimes be a pain, especially when you are trying to fix their wacky spacing or upload a picture in a reasonable amount of time.  Windows Live Writer is a program that functions a lot like a document writer and it allows you to upload pictures in a moment AND you can blow those pictures up to an acceptable size!  There’s nothing worse than looking through a blog and wondering what the heck girl is showing a picture of.  Blow those pictures up, sister!

3.  So many of us have smart phones now.  We Facebook, we Tweet, we blog.  And all of those sites I just mentioned happen to have mobile versions.  You know why they make mobile versions?  So people on their mobile devices don’t have to work so hard to see what they want to see!  Make reading your blog on a mobile device easier by following these simple steps:
-Go to draft.blogger.com
-Mark the box at the top of the page “Make Blogger in Draft my default dashboard”.
-Go to the settings tab, then click on “Email and Mobile”.
-Then click the circle “Yes, On mobile devices, show the mobile version of my template”.
-Click on “mobile preview” to see just how much more convenient it will be for your smart phone readers!
-Save your settings and your done!

You’re now three steps closer to becoming an even better blogger.  Congratulations!
