Hello, hello my beautiful friends! I took an unintended blogging break at the end of last week, but I really can't say that I'm sorry. I've been reflecting on this blog a lot lately and I've got some mixed emotions about where I think I should go from here. No need to fret; I'm not going anywhere. You might just see a few more post-less days around here the next few weeks.

Anyway, all that is beside the point today. I'm here to share a little bit of my heart after Michaela and I challenged you to go out and bless others this past week! I was so excited when Michaela came to me with her idea to extend the challenge to all of our readers because I knew it would keep me accountable. Michaela and I got to chat a couple of times this week and talk about how our weeks were going and how we were intentionally blessing others with acts of kindness.
I decided that instead of doing one random act of kindness I wanted to just be more intentional to be encouraging and uplifting to others. The Lord really began to speak to me over the attitude I have sometimes. We live in a world that tells us life is about "me", but a life with Jesus is exactly the opposite. My life has nothing to do with me. My life is, or should be, completely about Him. I was convicted of the way that I hold back blessings or encouraging words because I know that they won't be reciprocated. I make giving blessings about me. So sinful. I really prayed that the Lord would give me a gracious and loving heart towards the people in my life as well as the strangers I happened to meet. I wanted to smile more, make more eye contact, chat more, and hug more. I wanted others to feel encouraged and loved.
I performed several "acts" throughout the week and I love how the Lord kept reminding me that it isn't about me. Loving others isn't about me. Being intentional with others ins't about me. I do those things because I want to love others like Jesus loves and live out the gospel to a lost and dying world.
I want to continue to be intentional. With my love, my actions, and my attitude. I want others to know that I love Jesus more than anything. I want others to know that I'm different. I want to go and I want to do. I want to move my feet because that's what Jesus has called me to do. I want to go, and I want to do. I want to live fully for Jesus and love fully because of Him.
More going. More doing.
