“But as for me, I shall sing of Thy strength; yes, I shall joyfully sing of Thy lovingkindness in the morning, for Thou hast been my stronghold, and a refuge in the day of my distress. O my strength, I will sing praises to Thee; for God is my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness.” Psalm 59:16-17
As we get ready to start this study of the attributes of God, I want to start it with praise to the Father for how He’s near to us in our distress. I’m coming into this study a little weary, afraid, and in need of the Father’s refuge. I don’t know where you are this morning or what you’re struggling with, or if you’re having a hard time believing God is who He says He is. I pray that as I walk through some of His attributes that our view of Him widens, our awe grows bigger, and our trust in Him strengthens.
