Crawford Girl's First Birthday Party
As I was planning both of their birthday parties I kept coming back to the idea that I wanted them to be meaningful to them and their specific stories. Campbell's party was perfect for him, and I wanted Crawford's to be the same way. All the inspiration for Crawford's party came from the song Always Remember to Never Forget by Christy Nockels. I loved these lyrics so much:
"Hey there beautiful one, you there shining with glory
Would you let your heart hear, if I sang about you
Did you know that every fairy tale you love
They have borrowed your story
Of a maiden so lovely, and a hero so true."
So with that, we planned our sweet girl's fairytale first birthday party! Our families and a few friends came over on a cold Saturday morning in January and we enjoyed a breakfast bar while the kids played in their pajamas! It was a really sweet morning of celebrating our girl and spending time with people we love. (Jamie even drove from Georgia to celebrate with us!)
It was such a sweet day. We had a house full of people we love and it was all about our Crawford Girl's life. Some of my favorite moments were when my friend Kayla's little boy decided he really needed to drink all the syrup in the french toast shooter (look for it in the photos above!), all the kids playing in Campbell's room, watching Crawford timidly going for her homemade strawberry cake, and big brother Campbell attempting to steal a few bites. It sure was a sweet, sweet day.
