Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. I don't know about you, but having an extra "Saturday" really does make all the difference, huh? Here's a look into what my three day (Okay, four day. I loooove having Friday off!) weekend consisted of via Instagram...

My brother's new dog, Daisy came up for the weekend and I got to babysit on Friday morning. Tell me you don't just want to kiss her sweet face!

September 1st marked the beginning of a new prayer journal. It's always hard to let go of the old one, but I was quite excited to find such a cute one for this go around!

I'm in love with my new "cork" candle! It won't take long for this thing to burn, but I cannot wait to have wax dripping all down the sides of my wine bottle!

Yesterday afternoon Ty and I went on a little shopping spree to pick out some outfits for him to wear in our engagement pictures! I am just thrilled about what all we came away with (and for a GREAT deal) and I'll be a giddy little girl when picture day finally rolls around!

It's been a bit of a challenge getting used to being back at my parent's house, but I love those crazy folks so much. It was a low-key labor day weekend for us and I loved every minute of it.

Before I let y'all go for today, I want to tell you about the really exciting series I have coming to the blog! I knew from the beginning that I wanted to share my engagement journey on the blog, but I also wanted it to be a learning experience for me. It is so easy to get lost in the wedding planning that you forget there will actually be a marriage at the end of that day. I don't want to waste these months worrying about a few hours when I have a marriage (that will last forever!) to prepare for.

Over the next 6 months I am going to enlist some of the bloggers I look up to the most to share some tips and ideas about what a Godly marriage looks like to them. I have been so blessed to "meet" some amazing women with beautiful hearts for the Lord that are the marriage journey. I want to learn as much as I can from them so that one day I can turn around and bless someone else with words of wisdom.

Once a month on a Wednesday around the 8th (our wedding date!) I will devote the "Wedding Wednesday" post of that week to one of these lovely ladies posts. I am so excited to gain some wisdom on marriage and I hope that all of you can relate in some way. No matter if you're married, engaged, or hope to be married one day.
