caitlin:single — Nicole Cole

I literally don't know where to start. I'm currently sitting in starbucks praying that the Lord will allow me to type this out without turning into a blubbering mess. No one wants to see me blubber into my Caramel Flan Latte. If you're new here visiting from Kelly's Korner (which I hope you are!), let me introduce myself. My name is Nicole, I'm the blogger here at bloom. But, more than that, I have a sweet friend named Caitlin. THIS GIRL, Y'ALL.

Caitlin and I have been friends since the awkward middle school stage and our friendship has seen many, MANY seasons. The Lord has worked mightily in both of our lives and we're now at a point in our friendship that I think is my favorite. I love this gal. Like, LOVE LOVE LOVE. She's one of my dearest friends and she just gets my heart.

Caitlin is a recent graduate of Ole Miss and is a 9th grade English teacher not far out of Memphis. Let me tell you, she rocks at her job. To see her passion for teenagers (15 year olds at that!) truly inspires me. She's one tough cookie, but I know she's a blessing to every single student she encounters. I see her doing BIG things in education and it fires me up.

I've seen Caitlin's walk with the Lord grow over the years and most recently I've been so encouraged by her faith and her trust in the Lord through her singleness. She serves in a church that is 99.9% married. Yet, she loves on us and serves Jesus there regardless of her own heart's desires because she knows the Lord has called her there. Weekly I see her take big steps of faith and trust the Lord more with her life and it is one of the most incredible motivators of my faith. I want to have faith like that. I want to trust the Lord despite my own heart's desires and despite my own longings. I want to have a heart that longs for God's will. Her heart for the Lord is a blessing.

Caitlin is one of the most fun girlfriends I have and we are ALWAYS laughing. And if we're not really laughing, we have a "crying laughing" emoji in every text. Ha! She loves to experience new places, eat new food, and visit new cities. She's a shopper and a traveler and a lover of being "out". But, she's also a girl after my own heart... she can be a homebody, too! What I love most about our friendship is the HOURS we spend on the couch talking. She's the perfect combination if you ask me. ;)

AND SHE HAS A PUPPY. I mean, come on! Truly, she's one of the sweetest, most genuine women I have the pleasure of calling friend. She's very real, very raw and loves deep. I see her desire to be a wife and mother so clearly and I pray that the Lord would bring that man into her life soon. Caitlin is kind, thoughtful, nurturing, intelligent, genuine, intentional, and like, WAY MORE. I love this sweet girl and I can't wait for a man to come and scoop her up. She's a catch.

And she has the cutest puppy in the world named Charlie. She's a huge bonus!
