"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
As we get ready to wrap up this series on joy this week, this is a verse that I want to have on my heart. Because joy might not always come easy. Hard times might be really hard. But in these weaknesses, in these hardships, we can see the strength of Christ. I really want to rest in that. We can delight in weaknesses because we can see more of Christ's power. yes, yes, yes
My prayer for you today, no matter what circumstance you might be facing, is that you would use this as an opportunity to lean into the Father. I hope that you use this as a time to delight in your present sufferings because it means we get more of Jesus.
More of you, Lord.
