NEW Bible Study Resources for 2019

NEW Bible Study Resources for 2019

I’ve shared about my favorite bible study resources (here and here) and while I want to revisit what I’m using now and how things have changed over time, today I wanted to share a few NEW things I’m going to try this year!

Illuminated Scripture Journal

I recently purchased the illuminated scripture journal for 1-2 Timothy and Titus (one journal for all 3 books!) and I’m excited to do some inductive study through this journal! It’s basically just a small journal that has these three books of the bible along with one blank journal page for each page of scripture. I’m able to write all kind of notes and mark repeated words, key phrases, etc. without having to add all kinds of new markings to my actual Bible! I’m excited to use this because I think it’ll be really fruitful to have a small journal to look back on when I want to be refreshed on what I learned through studying specific books. I’m planning on doing it at least one other book like this before the end of 2019!

Write the Word Journal

I’ve actually had my “cultivate joy” journal for almost a year and a half (yikes!!!) and I’ve yet to use it! It’s a journal with different scriptures passages to write out and then space to reflect/pray through what you’ve just read and written. I think it's such a good way to interact with scripture! I am working on embracing the Sabbath this year (more on that when I share my goals soon!) and I think this journal could be a great tool for me to use on Sundays as I rest and reflect on scripture!

Read the Bible chronologically

This really isn’t a new resource, but it’s something I’m going to do this year! It’s been several years since I’ve read through the Bible chronologically and it’ll be the first time that I do it with Tyler so I’m excited for us to be able to talk through the same passages all year!

Are there any specific Bible study resources you’re reaching for this year?
